Beaumont Bailey Adds Two Equity Partners
London-based specialist executive search firm Beaumont Bailey has expanded with the additions of Amanda Floyd and Tony Robinson as equity partners to drive continued growth into core real estate and investment sectors.
“We are delighted to bring Tony and Amanda into the team,” said co-founders George Dobbins and James Pope, in a statement. “They both have outstanding records of delivering for clients in a professional, collaborative and consultative style, which fits with the vision and culture that we are building at Beaumont Bailey. They will significantly strengthen our offering for real-estate and investment clients.”
Ms. Floyd, who takes on the role of director, head of investment, will lead the investment practice working with alternative asset managers, indirect and direct investments across a range of investor types and asset classes. She was previously an equity partner with Forrester Partner. Ms. Floyd spent more than nine years with the independent executive search firm starting as a research consultant and working her way up to partner.
“I am delighted to be joining such an exciting new firm at this early stage, and look forward to working closely with the team to realize our ambitious growth plans and delivering results for our clients,” said Ms. Floyd.
Mr. Robinson will be leading the built environment practice, supporting clients throughout the asset life-cycle including developers, design consultancies, construction and advisory services. He was most recently with Norman Broadbent where he was the director for real estate and built environment. Before that, he was a part of the Korn Ferry’s real estate and construction team.
“I’m very excited to be joining Beaumont Bailey,” said Mr. Robinson. “There is a fantastic shared vision and platform in which we can create value and deliver amazing results for clients.”
Insight Driven Approach
Beaumont Bailey provides executive search and leadership consulting through a partner-led, consultative and insight driven approach which focuses on delivering engaged and quality results for clients. The business operates across four key industries: infrastructure, industrial, investment and real-estate.
Beaumont Bailey is the most recent investment by Spire Ventures, a property-related venture capital fund that has scaled start-up businesses internationally and attracted investment from institutional investors including Goldman Sachs and Google.
Mr. Dobbins, who co-founded Beaumont Bailey in April, recently sat down with Hunt Scanlon to discuss the new additions to the firm as well as future growth and expansion plans. Following are excerpts from that conversation.
George, how will Amanda and Tony help drive continued growth?
Amanda and Tony are fantastic additions to the team. They both have excellent reputations for delivering high-quality results for clients in a consultative and enjoyable partnership with clients. Amanda will be crucial to our expansion into the investment sector; working across all asset classes, including alternative assets. She will also be pivotal in brokering the relationship between private equity and portfolio investments by bringing in key sector experts for our asset management executive search service.
Tony will lead our growth across the property, real-estate and built environment sectors, working alongside developers, advisory services and supply chain partners. Having worked for Norman Broadbent and Korn Ferry, Tony’s exposure to wider consulting services will be a key area of focus as we develop out our consulting offering.
“We have a growth-trajectory agreed with our investment partners that prioritizes sustainable growth, quality for clients and a modern culture for employees to thrive.”
How do their backgrounds and personalities fit the firm’s culture?
Tony and Amanda both have engaging personalities that create an enjoyable experience for clients, which is fundamental to the vision of Beaumont Bailey. Tony brings a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of U.K. and international clients within the built environment. He is a thought leader and cultivates an insight-driven culture for clients. Amanda’s experience is grounded in expert delivery for clients. Her relationships have all been created by doing an outstanding job. She is very well-respected due to her market understanding and consultative style. Amanda will also drive our diversity and inclusion initiatives. It is an area that we believe is fundamental for executive search to be advising clients on, but also to live and breathe. Our culture is one of flexibility and trust. Amanda’s recently become a working mother and it is the transparent and flexible culture that in-part attracted her to the business.
Does the plan look to any other further growth within the next year or so?
We are on an ambitious plan to become a market-leading executive search business for the industries we work in. We have a growth-trajectory agreed with our investment partners that prioritizes sustainable growth, quality for clients and a modern culture for employees to thrive. Over the next five years, we aim to be in new locations across the U.K., Europe and potentially into the U.S.
