Constructing Customer Success and Sales teams for Buildots

Buildots is a Construction technology business, based in Israel with a global footprint. Buildots deploy a 360 degree camera throughout construction sites to create a digital twin, and then use this to produce a virtual ‘control centre’ to effectively manage projects throughout the lifecycle. The business underwent a Series A, B and C within 24 months with a total of £100m raised.

Customer Success

SEARCH BACKGROUND

Upon raising their initial Series A, Buildots were looking to expand their UK team with an additional hire into their Customer Success team. The team wanted to ensure greater connectivity to their clients and as such, our scope was to resource from contractors and talent. As the business continued to grow, this requirement grew to 3 individuals with differing competencies including relationship building, leadership and technical skills.

OUTCOMES

Against a Christmas schedule, Beaumont Bailey converted the first hire within a 3 week turn-around following the presentation of a 4 person shortlist. After a successful onboarding, we were re-engaged for a further 2 customer success hires. We supported the hiring manager by shaping the specialisms within the team and providing interviewing training to a dynamic team. We secured 2 additional hires from contrasting industry backgrounds within an 8-week period.

Sales Team

SEARCH BACKGROUND

In the lead up to the Series B, we were asked to recruit a French-speaking Account Executive to target the French market. This would be one of the first sales team hires to be based from the UK and was the first hire for the new CRO. After the Series B, the remit was extended to include an additional 2 Account Executive hires to be based in the UK.

OUTCOMES

We provided a shortlist of French-speaking Account Executives within 2 weeks and successfully secured the individual within 4 weeks. One of the other candidates from the shortlist was also hired for a Scandinavian territory role. After an extensive search throughout construction software businesses, we secured 3 Account Executives within a 6-week project.
