Sourcing a Strategic Project Manager for a leading manufacturer of optical systems

Beaumont Bailey’s Industrial practice worked alongside an industry-leading manufacturer of optical systems and optoelectronics, in order to find a Strategic Project Manager to assist the CEO of the multi-billion Euro global division.

SEARCH BACKGROUND

The Strategic Project Manager would support the CEO in their day-to-day strategic executions, whilst also acting as a sounding board to run through future strategies that would then be implemented at a global level. Working directly for the CEO, this person would act as a force multiplier to their activities, whilst also being mentored to become a future global leader within the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

The organisation presented Beaumont Bailey with three key criteria for the role:

1. The individual must possess a well-rounded and strategic mindset, with exceptional academic results and professional consulting experience within a top tier Management Consultancy.
2. They must have demonstrable experience within Consumer Markets, and a passion for conducting comprehensive market analysis, segmentation, and positioning exercises for global organisations operating within this segment.
3. Finally, the individual must be exceptionally detail orientated, and have proven experience in supporting and engaging with European-level Management Boards.

OUTCOME

After a rigorous search process, that involved engaging the world’s top 3 management consultancies, travelling internationally to visit with candidates and clients, and drawing upon our partnerships with the world’s leading business schools such as INSEAD, Beaumont Bailey was able to offer an exceptional exit opportunity to a high potential, senior consultant.
