Technology Spotlight: An Interview with Get 100
By Emma Callahan

As part of Beaumont Bailey’s mission to connect founders, innovators, and key players that make up the fabric of our industry, our latest Technology Spotlight series highlights the successes of our incredible members and wider network. In this instalment, we speak with Caren Maio, CEO & Co-Founder of Get 100.
Tell me a little bit about your organisation, your career path, and the idea to start Get 100.
My journey in real estate tech started in an apartment in New York City. I was trying to find a new place to live and kept running into friction – outdated listings, lack of transparency, and a process that felt broken. That pain point became the spark behind Funnel, the first company I co-founded, where we set out to modernise leasing and give operators better tools to manage the renter journey.
Fast forward to last year. I found myself talking to operators about a different kind of frustration: fraud. It had become the industry’s biggest operational and financial threat, and no one felt equipped to handle it. That’s when it clicked. It was time to tackle the next battle.
Throughout my career, I’ve always looked for the problems that are holding the industry back and asked: what if we fixed that? 100 was born from that same mindset. Solving for trust, tackling fraud head-on, and building the infrastructure the multifamily industry needs to move forward.
Go into the technology in a bit more detail, what main problem is Get 100 solving?
At its foundation, 100 is fraud prevention software. But in practice, it’s much more than that. It’s flipping the entire process on its head.
We start by offering a mortgage-like pre-approval experience for renters. Instead of waiting for someone to apply and then denying them after the fact, we proactively verify information upfront – inviting qualified renters to apply for homes they can actually afford. It’s faster, fairer, and smarter for everyone.
For renters who are playing by the rules, the experience is painless: a few clicks, a secure platform, and instant clarity on what they qualify for. No paperwork. No guesswork.
For operators, this means zero bad leads, smarter screening, and an adaptive risk engine that gets sharper with every transaction. It’s fraud prevention through a human lens, giving leasing teams the confidence to move fast, and the clarity to move smart.
How does your technology differentiate from others in the space?
Most tools wait until the damage is done. We prevent the damage from occurring in the first place.
100 is bringing true pre-approvals into multifamily, helping renters understand what they can actually afford and guiding them to the right unit. Our tech is built with fintech-grade partnerships under the hood, so we don’t rely on outdated methods like requiring renters to upload paperwork or connect a single bank account. Every step is optimised for simplicity, accuracy, and trust.
We’re turning a broken system into a better one. One that’s fairer for renters, stronger for operators, and smarter for the industry.
What are your growth plans over the next year?
We can’t give it all away, but here’s what I’ll say: the future of 100 is all about scale, intelligence, and industry impact.
Our goal is simple: make trust transferable. Create a frictionless experience for real renters, and build a stronger defence for operators who deserve better. It’s not just about one platform, it’s about reshaping how the industry moves.
What do you find the most challenging about the talent market right now specific to your industry?
Every startup feels the challenge of hiring – but we’ve been intentional from day one. Our team is small but mighty, made up of people who’ve lived, breathed, and built multifamily for years.
We hire for clarity and conviction. We look for people who want to solve hard problems, build real solutions, and move fast with purpose. And we hold tight to our core values: Keep it Real. Keep it Simple. Keep it 100. That’s not just a mantra – it’s our blueprint for how we build, work, and lead.
Culture is everything. When you’re building something that’s never been done before, you need a team that’s all-in. And we are.
